The Butte Challenge is the most established community walk/run in Eastern Oregon. With the generous support of the East Oregonian, Hermiston Herald, countless sponsors and volunteers the event has been successful each year, and has become the most significant fundraiser for the Hermiston Cross Country Program.

This year participants will be receiving custom Butte medals and a gift bag when they finish. All participants that pre register will be entered into drawings for door prizes donated by our many local sponsors.

Now, in its twenty third year, the Butte Challenge is the #1 fundraiser for the Hermiston Cross Country Program (Girls & Boys, Middle School & High School, JV & Varsity). All profits from this event benefit youth running in Hermiston.
