THE 26TH ANNUAL BUTTE CHALLENGE
The Butte Challenge is the most established community walk/run in Eastern Oregon. With the generous support of the East Oregonian, Hermiston Herald, countless sponsors and volunteers the event has been successful each year, and has become the most significant fundraiser for the Hermiston Cross Country Program.

7:30 AM BIB PICKUP
8:30 AM CHIP TIMED 5K & 10K
This year we are starting the Free Kids mile with the other races and they will cut turn at the Aquatic Center to go to the finish. This is a free event and you do not need to sign up for it.
This year participants will be receiving custom Butte medals and a gift bag when they finish. All participants that pre register will be entered into drawings for door prizes donated by our many local sponsors. Pick up your door prizes after the race.

The Butte Challenge is the most established community walk/run in Eastern Oregon. It was started 22 years ago by Jeanne Jewett, and with the generous support of the many local businesses countless sponsors and volunteers the event has grown each year.

Now, in its twenty sixth year, the Butte Challenge is the #1 fundraiser for the Hermiston Cross Country Program (Girls & Boys High School, JV & Varsity). All profits from this event benefit youth running in Hermiston.
